Skin Perfecting 8% AHA Gel is a completely non-abrasive, leave-on exfoliant that gently and naturally helps shed built-up layers of dead skin, just like your skin did when you were younger. This unique formula revitalizes skin’s surface, creates noticeable radiance, smooths the appearance of wrinkles, and makes your skin look and feel remarkably soft. With ongoing use, it can help promote firmer-looking skin.
This exfoliant has an optimal pH range of 3.5–3.9.

All Paula’s Choice products are 100% fragrance free, clinically proven to be non-irritating, and never tested on animals.

Combines the exfoliating benefits of glycolic acid with a sheer weightless gel formula that provides long-lasting hydration and dramatically improves the smoothness of skin. It also contains skin-soothing plant extracts and antioxidants. You’ll experience a more even, brighter skin tone and a feeling of firmness.

Apply once or twice daily after cleansing and toning. Apply a dime-sized amount over the entire face, avoiding direct contact with eyes and lips. Do not rinse. For daytime, follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or greater.

Sun Protection Advice When Using Any AHA Exfoliant: This product contains 8% glycolic acid, an ingredient that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and the possibility of sunburn. Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or greater every day. When outdoors, wear protective clothing whenever possible, seek shade, and avoid prolonged sun exposure.

    Those uneven bumps disappeared

    Does not irritate my skin. All little bumps around my chin had disappeared with short period of time.

    Good AHA

    Received the travel-sized one as part of Maximise Your Glow kit. I’m a seasoned user of this 8% AHA so don’t experience any tingling sensation. I always keep the travel-sized version for overseas trips as I use AHA in my nightly skincare routine and it has helped keep my skin looking bright and clear.

    Smoother skin the next morning!

    Got this when I was pregnant to replace my BHA exfoliant as they say glycolic acid is safer. Turns out this exfoliant will be a staple in my regimen! There was a slight stinging/tingling sensation when it was first applied on the skin but the next morning, the skin is really does feel smoother. I do think however, this smoothness is temporary and you will definitely have to re-exfoliate after a few days. I tried using this every night, but it dried out my cheeks and surfaced a pimple or two. Personally for me, the magic number is once or twice a week. It helped with the congestion on my jawline during pregnancy. I do have PIH on my cheeks and while this product has helped evened out the skin, I STILL have PIH on my skin. Planning to combine it with a lineup of other products to treat my skin more effectively.

    Lightweight and effective

    Very lightweight gel that feels a little watery and applies smoothly into skin. I have been using this just once a week on my dry/combination and sensitive skin, and do notice after repeated use that my face does appear smoother and fewer blemishes. It has a slight “glue” smell at first, but it absorbs well with no sticky feeling and the smell dissipates shortly after applying it.
